DRILLS

The Quick Board’s sensor board connects to a touchscreen tablet loaded with the system’s software.  The results are instantly displayed on the tablet screen allowing the user to see their progress.  Focusing on the tablet during drills produces a proprioceptive benefit, which enhances the neurological training effect.  The Quick Board's real time feedback elicits a neurological benefit unrivaled by any other product in the world.

The software can be customized to test and train speed, quickness, reaction, strength, mobility, balance and coordination.

*There are two different software versions available containing various capabilities which are distinguished in the software descriptions on the products page.

Basic Drills -- The Quick Board’s basic software includes three standard drills, which users can customize to meet their specifications.

  1. Count drills (foot speed): The total number of steps (touches) on the front or back sensors is recorded within a pre-determined time interval; or the amount of time used to complete a pre-determined total number of touches is measured.  All sensors are activated on the sensor board or can program to distinguish right versus left foot touches on the top or back sensors.

  2. React drills: React to the random light by stepping on corresponding target on the sensor board as fast as possible, then quickly return to the base position and ready for next stimulus.  The software tracks if the user accurately reacts to the random lights.

  3. Sequence drills: Pre-program from 1 to 20 sensor sequences that the user must react to. The software tracks if the sequence is accurately performed.

Plus Software Capabilities:

Delay Setting
2 - 3 second variable delay between the lights appearing on the tablet screen.  Delay is activated to adapt the stimulus speed for patients requiring a slower progression during rehabilitation.  Available in Sequence and React Drills.

Flash Speed Setting
Tracks errors if a user does not react or complete a sequence within a programmable time frame (0.1 to 10.0 seconds in intervals of 0.1 second).  Available in Sequence and React Drills.

React Drill Details
Tracks all reactions to a hundredth of a second and includes the times in the exported spreadsheet.

Compare Drill Results on Tablet
Displays an overview of a user's last ten drill results with a percentage increase or decrease.

Agility Drill -- Available in the Plus software package, users can take advantage of the agility drill, which doesn’t require a sensor board to perform drill:

Currently, coaches have to point in various directions to force athletes to react, keep the drill time, critique technique and motivate the athletes during conditioning and whole-body change-of-direction drills used in technique practice.

The agility drill encompasses all of the above for coaches by allowing them to choose arrow react drills or program custom arrow sequences.
